Totoro Arcade and Golf will be in the vein of Fun Spot. It will be an entertainment complex based here in Orlando, FL, and will have not only an arcade and golf, but also bumper cars, a small scale train for kids that goes around the entire venue, dinner shows, and other kid friendly attractions. The inside of the arcade will be dressed as if it is a lush forest with lots of trees, wild flowers, vines, and a speaker system that plays sounds that would be heard from various forest creatures.
Instead of the usual greasy pizza and soggy salad bar that you see at places like Chuck E. Cheese, TAG will have lots of vegetarian and vegan options, and try to introduce healthier versions of fast food into the diets of its patrons.
Rides and Attractions:
The Cat Bus: A train for children covered entirely in bright orange and brown fur to mimic the look and feel of the cat bus from the movie. The head of the vehicle will look just like his face, and it will round the entire venue, making stops at major points of interest.
Kitten Bumper Cars: The kitten car is a smaller version of the cat bus, but looks very similar. There for the bumper cars will be modeled in the same fashion of the train.
The Totoro and Friends Dinner Show: Throughout the day members of the staff dressed up as various characters from the movie will roam about different areas putting on skits. At the end of the day around 6 pm they will all come together for a full dinner show.
Totoro Putt-Putt: There will be a golf area that courses through the entertainment center. It will be 10 holes, and each hole will focus on a particular scene of the movie, or place, or thing.
Arcade: Mostly classic arcade games with some new ones in the mix that go along with the theme of My Neighbor Totoro. Some of the games from the video game will be featured, with minor tweaking to make them arcade accessible.
There will also be no tickets what so ever. Instead there will be a point system, and all the points are added to a card you pay for. All prizes are Totoro themed, and even if you only get one point you are eligible to receive something.
